After graduating from the University of Exeter with a BA in English, followed by a PGCE in Secondary English Teaching from the University of Birmingham, Miss Cosnett began her career as an English teacher. She went on to hold a number of leadership positions, including Lead Teacher for Key Stage 4 English, Head of English, and Trust Leader for English across five secondary schools in the West Midlands and Worcestershire.
Miss Cosnett joined St Benedict’s Catholic High School in 2019 as Head of English before progressing to the Senior Leadership Team. In this role, she was initially responsible for Personal Development and Teaching and Learning, contributing significantly to the school’s Ofsted judgement of Good. Since September 2023, Miss Cosnett has served as Assistant Principal for Achievement. In this capacity, she has played a key role in driving strong academic outcomes, with Attainment 8 scores consistently above the national average and exceptional results in English and Maths.
