Academisation Development Consultation about the Vision

On 11th July 2024, Archbishop Bernard Longley outlined a new plan for our Catholic schools. The goal is to move from collaboration to shared responsibility by bringing all Catholic schools into a smaller number of stronger, flourishing Catholic Multi-Academy Trusts (CMATs). After consulting widely, the Diocesan Trustees have approved the formation of a new CMAT, merging some existing academies and voluntary aided

Year 9 D of E pupils have worked on their first aid, map reading and even outdoor cooking skills today. They are looking forward to their expedition in June. ☀️⛺

St Benedict's Marathon - Friday 20th March! Pupils will be either running, jogging or walking throughout the day on Friday as part of our efforts to raise money for our Lenten Charity. Pupils will need to wear their PE kit, with sensible trainers fit for walking, and bring £2 as a contribution in cash or pay £2 on Parent Pay. Please ensure pupils remember to apply sun cream and bring water bottles.

Today we welcomed Lu Lawrence into our school. Lu’s father was Zigi Shipper, a Holocaust survivor from Poland. Lu shared the life story of her father to pupils and showed many pictures and videos of his life and family. Pupils asked very thoughtful questions and Lu commented on how respectful and thankful they were. We want to say a big thank you to Lu for making the journey to us today and sharing such powerful history with us. A big thank you to our pupils also for being so respectful.
